Introduction

In highly competitive and fast-changing markets, the pressure to constantly come up with and produce innovative solutions has been increasing substantially over the years. To create the perfect work setting for building innovations, companies need to rethink the way they conduct business and change the way that teams work and evolve together.  Many companies and tech giants, such as Google, Amazon, et al; have been searching for environmental and psychological prerequisites needed for fostering creativity and innovation, and have found psychological safety as the cornerstone of highly productive and innovative teams. This article aims to explore the concept of psychological safety and its relationship to creativity, innovation, and productivity in the workplace in general, as well as in the venture building context, as the core of Martian & Machine business.

Additionally, it offers insights on approaches that help Martian & Machine build a psychologically safe environment and consequently, make teams more productive and innovative.
